Match Reaction: Kevin Hill On Evesham Draw

Exmouth Town Footbll Club

Exmouth Town manager Kevin Hill was happy with his team’s efforts in their 1-1 draw against Evesham United, at the Circle of Care Community Stadium.
Town got off to a good start, as Ace High opened the scoring after 14 minutes, but a second half strike from Ethan Moran meant that both sides shared the spoils on the opening day of the Southern League Division One South season.
“A massive improvement from last Saturday, we all saw it, in the first half I thought we pressed really well in the right areas.

I actually picked the same team bar one because he (Jordan Casey) was injured, James Richards came back in, but I put the same team out there and told them they owe us and the fans, and I thought they put a shift in.

The lads redeemed themselves today with their work rate, yes we could have been more clinical but when you are playing with no proper striker, that’s what happens.

We could have nicked it, Ethan (Slater) was gutted in there but at the end of the day you have got to put yourself in those positions, and we were creating chances.”
